Anna Bleier graduated from Irkutsk State University with a degree in Mathematical Methods and Research of Operations in Economics in 2000.
She started her career in OJSC Irkutskenergo as an economist of the finance department of the company. Then, worked for more than 5 years in the CJSC Integrated Energy Systems, where she has worked her way up from a specialist of budgeting and financial and economic analysis department to the Head of the audit department of the Department of Internal Control and Audit of the Holding. She worked as a director for marketing and communications in CJSC Design Institute Giprokommunenergo. In 2010 she successfully completed training at the university of Bled School of Management (Slovenia), and defended MBA degree.
During implementation of the project to improve energy efficiency of the municipal school of Vorkuta, Anne Bleier and her inspirer Slobodin Mikhail, together with colleagues of CJSC Design Institute Giprokommunenergo, came up with an idea to create an innovative proposal for systems flushing, since no such a solution existed in the Russian market.
This idea formed the basis of the project “Innovative flushing technology of heating systems and equipment”. Stanislav Khudyakov, Director of Development, joined the project, together with scientific consultants: Skvortsova Zoya, Traskin Vladimir.
The experts began the search for solutions with the study of the market data. It turned out that because of tubes slagging the total heat losses in heating systems were up to 30%, which consist of heat energy and coolant losses, electricity consumption for the circulation of coolant, reduction in the efficiency of the heat source due to the increase of the return water temperature.
Due to this the regulatory life of the intra-house heating systems and equipment is reduced from 30 to 10 years. Nationally, it leads to forced expenditure on unplanned overhauls in the amount of over 23 bln rub. annually. Practice shows that the pipes of heating systems in buildings where maintenance work has not been carried out for more than 10 years, are clogged with oxides and metal salts by 40-50%. The limescale creates coolant thermal resistance, which leads to lower heat transfer. Since the thermal conductivity of the scale is 40 times lower than the thermal conductivity of the metal, depositions in heating systems with a thickness of just 1 mm reduces heat transfer by 15%.
In Russia, traditionally, for decades, different methods of cleaning heating systems have been used: mechanical cleaning, chemical flushing, hydraulic flushing, and hydro pneumatic flushing. These methods have low efficiency and significant restrictions on the use. First, they can only be used in the off-season, when the coolant is not supplied to the heating plant. Second, the sludge is removed by chemical flushing using salt and alkali reactants. In addition to the environmental hazard, these reagents adversely affect the pipes as they react with the metal, leading to its destruction.
To resolve this issue, on the basis of SAVANT the project team has developed an innovative method for flushing heating systems and heat exchange equipment – disperse flushing. The technology allows for year-round flushing without switching off the heating (there is a patent).
The reagent used has a set of the following characteristics:
Today Savant already has a successful experience in flushing both an industrial equipment (electrode plants of Novocherkassk, Chelyabinsk, Orlan oil platform) and social amenities: multi-storey and private residential houses (Novosibirsk, Moscow, Ukhta, Odintsovo, Staraya Kupavna, Staraya Ruza, etc.), municipal facilities (schools of Tambov, schools, kindergartens and hospitals of Odintsovo) and many others.
The project “Savant Research and Development – Innovative flushing of heating systems and equipment” is supported by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. ASI assists in replication of the project, and a plan of administrative measures to communicate with the authorities of the pilot regions of the Central Federal District has been developed for this purpose.
REVIEWS ABOUT PROJECT
Nikolin Andrey
Managing Director of MKS of Novosibirsk
Savant has arranged flushing of eating systems of three residential houses of the managing company MKS in Novosibirsk. Flushing was carried out during the heating season. The heating systems of all three houses are centralized open, type of heating – water. All houses have heat meters installed. Before the flushing, Savant employees have conducted chemical analyses of deposits, have performed a nondestructive inspection procedure of the pipelines, inspected thermograms of the heaters. <div>For the period of work, the heating systems of the two houses have been converted into a closed mode using heat exchangers, in one of the houses – using an electric boiler. During the works no emergency was recorded in any of the apartments, the temperature mode corresponded to the schedule. As a result of successful flushing the heat production of the heaters increased, the temperature fields were leveled. Flow rate increased from 26 to 31%, which was recorded by meters. After flushing, the heating systems need to be adjusted. </div> <div>Based on the analysis of the results we recommend to introduce Savant technology of flushing and protection of heating systems. </div>
Naumov Nikolay
Managing Director of OJSC Energoprom – Novocherkassk Electrode Plant
Savant specialists, in the period of May 7-13, 2011, arranged work on implementation of the flushing technology of administrative building of the Novocherkassk Electrode Plant and of the reciprocating aftercooler compressor 4VM-120. <div>Due to the long service life of the heating system, the internal surfaces of pipes and radiators had large volumes of deposits. The efficiency of the heating system was reducing on an annual basis. The use of traditional methods of flushing was not enough to bring significant results. </div> <div>Work on the implementation of the technology was conducted in a short time, during the May holidays, and during absence of the staff in the offices of the plant. The flushing process was organized in such a way that fine sludge was removed from the heating system without blocking it. During the work no holes have been created. Upon completion of the flushing the energy efficiency of the system increased by 14%. Circulation was restored after 8 heating devices. Temperatures on heaters rose, temperature fields were leveled. An additional positive effect was the formation on the inner surface of the heating system of a corrosion protective hydrophobic film that blocks the formation of deposits in the subsequent operation. </div> <div>Based on the analysis of the results we recommend the introduction of the technology for open heating systems. </div>
Kurbatova Irina
Director of Hero of the Soviet Union Kuznetsov secondary school No.13 with depth study of specific subjects, Tambov
In July 2012, we turned for help to the experts of Savant Research and Development (hereinafter Savant), due to the fact that each year we faced with the problem of heating of the school building. It was cold in the offices and classrooms. <div>During the energy audit all weaknesses and problem areas of the heating system in our school were identified. To save our finances, the company offered the most optimal and budget way to solve our problems. </div> <div>In August 2012, Savant arranged flushing of the heating system of the school. Due to the high wear of the school piping, three emergency sections of the pipeline that would lead to an accident during the heating season, were replaced during the heating system flushing, which is important, on account of the previously agreed price of services. We thank all the specialists of Savant for operational work, professionalism and individual approach to the solution of our problem. Currently we do not have problems with the heating of the school building and recommend Savant as professionals in this field. </div>
