Project “Establishment of wood processing enterprises for the production of environmentally friendly fuel - wood pellets and generation and co-generation facilities on biomass”
graduated from the State Academy of Management with a degree in Economics and Management in the Household, Housing and Municipal services in 1993.
In 1994 he created the Group of Companies TEPLOSISTEMY, which is currently successfully operating in the market for the production of thermal energy. The main activity of the Group of Companies is the investment, construction, installation and operation of the gas boilers and modernization of engineering systems of heating and water supply with modern energy-saving technologies. The company owns sources of thermal energy with a total installed capacity of 350 MW, the main thermal power systems with a total length of 20 km. The total cost of power generation assets exceeds 2.0 billion rubles.
The company employs highly qualified specialists with many years of experience in the operation of thermal power plants, as well as professionals in management and strategic business development. Following current trends of the market, aimed at obtaining heat and electricity from environmentally friendly fuel, TEPLOSISTEMY Group of Companies has set an ambitious goal to launch a large-scale, efficient, innovative project in the energy sector.
To achieve this objective, Dmitriy Levin in cooperation with other investors has developed a project to establish wood processing enterprises for the production of environmentally friendly fuel - wood pellets (pellets)
. The raw material for the production is low-grade wood and waste from wood processing and construction of generation and co-generation facilities on biomass. Strong demand for environmentally friendly fuel in the renewable energy market in Europe and in the world on the one hand and the presence of extensive resource base on the territory of Russia on the other hand, allow establishing a domestic manufacturer for the export of biofuels.
To implement the Projects leading German companies for the production of equipment for the woodworking industry were involved - corporations SIEMPELKAMP and DIEFFENBACHER. Within 5 years it is planned to build more than 30 factories producing pellets in Russia with a total production capacity of approximately 2.1 mln tons of pellets a year, with the commissioning of the first line of 4 plants with capacity up to 140 thousand tons per year in 2014. Today more than 15 constituent entities of the Russian Federation confirmed their interest in the project. Smolensk, Novgorod, Pskov, Kaluga, Kostroma and Yaroslavl regions were selected as pilot regions.
The project to build a network of pellet plants was approved and recognized as strategically important for Russia at the Expert Council of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives in May 2013. The project complies with the Development Strategy of Forest Complex of the Russian Federation, was supported by the Federal Forestry Agency, Russian Energy Agency and approved by the Ministry of Industry and Energy.
The social effect is expressed in the creation of over 800 jobs in the six regions, as well as social and engineering infrastructure under the first phase of the project. Tax payments to the budgets of the regional level for the five-year period will amount to more than 1 bln rubles, and to the federal budget - 200 mln rubles. In addition, it improves the environmental situation, and qualitative renewal of the forest fund of the Russian Federation will take place.
