Alexander was born and raised in the city of Syktyvkar. In 2005 he entered the Saint Petersburg State University of Engineering and Economics. In 2009 he graduated with the Bachelor degree, in 2011 - with Master's degree from St. Petersburg branch of the HSE with the degree in State and Municipal Management.
He started his career at LOMO in the department of personnel management. From 2007 to 2009 he worked first as an assistant, then as a consultant of company Kelly Services. In 2010-2011 – Consultant of ANKOR company. In 2012 he founded Smart Start company, which helps students to plan their future and deal with their career planning. In 2012 Alexander was elected to the Board of OPORA Rossii.
Alexander speaks of himself, “I graduated from the Faculty of General Management with a degree in HR management, since eighteen I have been selecting staff for Russian and international companies. After five years I had the understanding of what is missing in this market. Every year, employers have a growing need for line personnel, talented young graduates and upgrade of the existing teams. But there was no solution for the selection of the target audience. I resigned and began working on the project.”
Realizing that today ICT extensively entered the life of every man, Alexander and his team found a solution in the development of applications for social networks and mobile phones Smart Start, that allows quickly finding an internship and work for students, graduates of higher and secondary institutions.
Alexander and his team identified the goal of the project as follows: “2 million students using Smart Start and building a career with it!"
Installed application provides information about companies who are looking for specialists. It is necessary to respond to the job you liked to be contacted by an employer and to be interviewed so to be able to start the career. When an employer gets access to the Smart Start system, he places information indicating which students and graduates he would like to see in the workplace. The application allows employers to target audience up to graduating department, the year of graduation from the university, territory and personal characteristics. Further, this vacancy is directed to those who most fit the specified parameters. If suitable candidates were not found in the system, they are attracted by advertising in social networks.
For 11 months after the start of the project “Smart Start” the system has more than 45,000 registered students from 20 regions of the country who are looking for the job and more than 350 registered employing companies who post job vacancies in the application daily.
This system is effective, and the proof of this is that the entire team of Smart Start is currently looking for people only through the application, and this way it has been formed.When asked about the success, Alexander Svinin answers, “I think that successful stories are those that are discussed on the street. The project addresses an important social task of career planning for young people, at the same time it is business-oriented and successful in the market of Internet recruitment. This is confirmed by the growing number of customers and received investments from the Softline Venture Partners Fund.
